Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 airport guide
Las Vegas Strip Circuit · Las Vegas
Date:
The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 runs from 19 to 21 November 2026 at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit in Las Vegas. Sessions take place after dark on a 6.12 km circuit along the Strip, so airport demand and road access can shift quickly around race days. Use the LAS live arrivals and departures boards to check delays, cancellations and timing before arranging transfers to or from the circuit area.
LAS live flight boards for Grand Prix week
From Harry Reid Airport to the Strip circuit
Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Paradise, Nevada, is the main gateway and the only scheduled commercial airport serving the event. It sits about 5 km from the Strip/Grand Prix Plaza area, about 10 minutes by road in normal traffic. There is no rail or airport metro link to the Strip. Use taxis, Uber or Lyft zones, shuttles, limousines, rental cars, or RTC buses from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3; the Las Vegas Monorail helps on the Strip but not at LAS.
Flying home after the Saturday night race
The main fly-home wave follows the Saturday night race, with Sunday 22 November 2026 the peak departure day and Monday also heavy. LAS can be crowded, and race-week detours affect airport access; US Thanksgiving on 26 November adds holiday-week demand. Leave more time than usual, confirm taxi or rideshare pickup zones, and check the LAS live departures board before leaving for the airport so you can react to delays or cancellations.
Race-week airport and Strip travel tips
On event days, expect Las Vegas Boulevard and nearby streets to close from early afternoon until after midnight. Driving to the circuit is not recommended because public parking is extremely limited; most spectators walk or use the monorail once on the Strip. If using Uber or Lyft, confirm the designated race-week zone. Treat the Vegas Loop airport station as a future plan, not an open option.
