Getting to Marina Bay Street Circuit

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is the main gateway, about 20 km by road from Marina Bay Street Circuit and typically 20-30 minutes by taxi via the East Coast Parkway outside event-related closures. The recommended airport route is MRT: Changi Airport station is on the East-West Line branch, with a change at Tanah Merah, then continue toward Bayfront, Raffles Place, City Hall, Promenade or Esplanade. There is no dedicated airport-to-circuit F1 shuttle; use MRT, public buses, taxis or Grab. Seletar (XSP) is mainly for business aviation.

Flying home after the Sunday night race

Flying home is busiest on Monday 12 October, the day after the Sunday-night race, with a secondary late-Sunday wave for overnight long-haul departures. The Grand Prix starts at 20:00 local time on Sunday and runs about two hours, so few attendees can realistically depart on race day. More than 250,000 attendees can disperse late at night, and taxi or Grab queues near the circuit can be long. Arrive earlier than usual and check the live departures board before leaving for SIN or XSP.

Travel tips for Grand Prix weekend

Use the MRT where possible, especially during the road-closure period around Marina Centre and Padang, which lasts about a week. Allow extra walking time from Bayfront, Raffles Place, City Hall, Promenade or Esplanade, and confirm which station best suits your entrance before setting out. Keep luggage plans simple, avoid relying on road access near race hours, and recheck live arrivals or departures if your ground-transfer plan changes.
