Getting there

EWR is about 20 km from MetLife Stadium and is usually the closest airport; LGA is about 32 km away, and JFK about 48 km. On event days, many fans use NJ Transit rail to the Meadowlands Sports Complex via Secaucus Junction; from EWR, that typically means AirTrain plus NJ Transit. Taxis and ride-hailing are common from all three airports, but roads around the stadium can be heavily congested on match day.

Flying home

Most fans flying home will depart on July 20–21, when EWR, JFK and LGA will be exceptionally busy. Arrive much earlier than usual, especially if you are checking bags or taking an international flight. Before leaving for the airport, check the live departures board for your terminal and airline, then allow extra time for traffic, check-in, security and passport control.

Travel tips

Travel light where possible, keep passports and fan documents handy, and save airport and hotel details offline. Recheck your airline alerts before moving, because airport transfers may take longer than map apps suggest. If your group splits up, agree on a meeting point away from crowded entrances. Build in rest time after the match before long-haul travel.
